my second hand finds!!!

underconstruction i'm a new site, nothing is finished here (yet!!) i'm sorry c: underconstruction

words can not express how much i loooove going thrifting (in the UK we don't really use this term, we'd just say we're "going to a chairty shop", but in order to keep up with the online lingo, i'll call it thrifting >.<). the thrill of possibly walking out with the coolest items is the best thing ever. i try and visit at least one charity shop once a week, all of various sizes and in different towns & cities!! unlike in the US, most charity shops in the UK are small (not huge warehouse buildings), so finding good things can be a little harder, but that feeling when you find a gem can never be replaced.

i'll be using this page to document anything which i may find whilst i'm out on my second hand adventures! i will be honest, sometimes if i find something at a good price, i will buy it to flip/resell onto ebay etc. it's a tough world out there...i need the extra $$$ ^_^.

spring 2025!! 28/05 - today i managed to find 3 items in one store, coming to a total of £10.20! i found two "knits" (mainly for work) as well as a super cool Bratz phone from 2005. starting with the phone (as this is the coolest thing), i paid £5 for it which is a BARGAIN. these retail on ebay for upwards of £50, so i got a great deal. i won't be reselling this item, growing up i loved Bratz so this item holds some sort of sentimental value to me. i remember asking my mum for this phone (in 2005, i was 8 lol) and she (rightly so) reminded me that an 8 year old didn't need a landline phone...anyway, here is a photo from the internet of the phone i managed to get -

how cute is she! sadly, i dont have a landline phone number (nor would anyone call me on it anyway), so this will probably sit on display on my bookshelves looking extra sassy.
as i mentioned before, i also picked up two pieces of knit wear for work (although i could wear them out of the office too!!). one was a grey sweatervest, nothing fancy but perfect for layering. the other was a cream button up cardigan (orginally from & other stories, which is a brand i love) and i paid only £2.10 for it! the quality is lovely too as it's a wool blend. i will upload pictures to here when i remember, and when i take a photo of the items c:
summer 2025!! 04/06 two smaller finds today, a small bag FULL of postcards! some a new, some are used. i love the used ones as i'm reading a little snippet of somebodies holiday or day trip away. by the looks of things, a few of these postcards are from the 1960's! i don't collect postcards (yet, lol), but i couldn't pass up on this collection for just £1.60. my plan is to scan my favourite ones and upload them onto my site eventually. my other purchase was a Stanley Gibbons stamp album from 1994 which is in perfect condition. it looks as though someone was given it as a gift, they used it once then it's sat untouched for 30 years. i album does come with some stamps too, which are all olympic themed which is the next themed collection i want to start! this album was a bargain at 50p c:
